VETERINARIANS HAVE CONTRACTS WITH PET STORES
~ DON'T TRUST THEIR HEALTH RECORDS ~
It is a fact and it is all about business. It is not required by law to take blood, skin, or fecal exams for a puppy to be given a health certificate of fit for sale. Pet Stores exclude these tests for puppies in their contracts the their store Veterinarian. Fecal exams are the only way to test for parasites such as Parvo and Guardia. Expert Veterinarians that specialize in Puppy Mills confidently state that 100% of USDA factory bred puppies carry parasites from their overcrowded and unsanitary conditions.
My puppy mill survivor carried two human contagions, Sarcoptic Mange which causes permanent baldness in humans, and a parasite named Guardia. It kills and sheds away the lining of your intestine and can kill a small child.
Unfortunately there are some Veterinarians that care more about the money than the welfare and health of the animals they took an oath to protect from all harm. Always report a pet store's Veterinarian who sold you a sick puppy or one with genetic defects that impair the animals health. The Veterinarian will be held accountable, liable, and judged by a group of his peers on whether his practices violate the CODE OF ETHICS of his profession and his license that he uses to make big cash.
Veterinarians who cause intentional harm to animals with deliberate lack of care don't deserve a license, they deserve animal cruelty charges.
